A member of the Nigerian Delegation to the ECOWAS Parliament, Hon. Garba Shehu has said that the poor attendance of Nigerian representatives to the Parliament was largely due to domestic responsibilities.
Hon. Shehu who spoke on the sidelines of the ongoing Second Ordinary Session of the Parliament on Friday, said that many Nigerians were now focused on returning as lawmakers with the General Elections coming in 2019.
He said that many of the representatives to the parliament realize that if they do not return as members of the Nigeria’s Parliament, then they automatically lose their seat at the ECOWAS Parliament.
